LOCAL MARKETING COMPANY RECOGNIZED BY SBA - KNOXVILLE TN,  June 5, 2009

Small Business Marketer of the YearGrassRoots Marketing, LLC a local marketing, advertising and interactive company has been named Small Business Marketer of the Year by the Tennessee District Office of the U. S. Small Business Administration.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.

“The Small Business Administration is a tremendous resource to help entrepreneurs start, build and grow a business,” stated Fred Hess, Founder and President of GrassRoots Marketing, LLC.

GrassRoots Marketing received The Small Business Marketer of the Year Award for its commitment to institute outreach programs to help local small businesses better understand and implement principle marketing strategies and tactics. GrassRoots Marketing partnered with the Tennessee Small Business Development Center to develop several series of seminars. The first series was devoted to basic marketing and advertising principles. The following series explores the world of the Internet and what a business should be aware of with website design and the new phenomenon of Web 2.0 and social media. A third series is currently being developed that deals with how marketing relates to the sales process. All outreach programs are provided at no cost and additionally attendees were offered one hour of free individual consultation.
